Join me on a little circle tour along the Royal Canal, and returning via Phoenix Park and quiet roads.
This is a beginner-friendly cycle – we will take all the time needed to ensure everyone is feeling safe and comfortable as we make our journey.
We will meet at Crossguns Bridge in Phibsboro next to the Des Kelly shop. We start off with a peaceful cycle along the paved towpath of the Royal Canal (no cars!) After Broombridge, we will encounter a few small rises which will provide an opportunity to practice changing gears in a quiet setting. Don't worry, we will be in no hurry and we will all stop for a breather after each little hill.
When we reach the 12th Lock at Castleknock, we will leave the canal path behind us and continue on quiet roads for about 1km before we enter Phoenix Park where we will stop for a coffee (cake?) and chats
Once we are rested and ready to move on, we will head back to Phibsboro via quiet roads.
It would be a good idea to bring along a water bottle, particularly if it is a sunny day.

I love getting out and exploring in the fresh air, and cycling at a comfortable pace is my favourite way to do this! My goal is to help others enjoy the fun and freedom of leisure cycling. All are welcome on my bike rides, and of course, we will stop for a cuppa along the way!
