Meeting at The Parade, Kilkenny City, outside of the main gates to the castle, we will proceed across Nuncio road, onto the Waterford Road using the bike lane. We will continue towards The Springhill Hotel to Danesfort, turning left to take us on a quiet road to Bennettsbridge. Here we will enjoy a coffee, cake and chat at Crafted café, before taking the main Kilkenny Road to Wallslough, where we will again go onto a quiet back road to bring us back out onto the main Waterford Road and continue back to The Parade to finish our spin. This is a lovely easy going ride, with great availability of bike lanes for us to take our time and enjoy our spin.

I am a cycling enthusiast and feel it is such a great way to exercise in a leisurely enjoyable pastime. Having experienced being a participant with our Kilkenny group, I felt it would be a great asset to have a local group in Thomastown, which is why I became a leader. I try to vary my rides distance and speed wise to accommodate everyone's level of fitness and bike confidence.
A really great spin with lovely people , most of them new to Community bike rides. I was disappointed to find that no one from Kilkenny Bike Fest was present at the Parade to take photographs. I would have started the ride from further out of town to avoid the afternoon traffic if I had been made aware that no presence of any committee would be on the day.I would not make the effort for them again.
