Starting from Kilcornan House, we cycle out the back gate of Kilcornan. We turn left, which takes us up to Casey’s Cross where we turn right to bring us to the former 'Green Briar Pub'. We turn left there and cycle along the hard shoulder until we take the right turn towards Athenry at Derrydonnell. Shortly after going down this road, we turn left to bring us down by the Athenry Golf Course, taking a left after Scoil Naomh Mhuire to bring us up to the Monivea Road. We turn right and then left after 'Egan’s Pub' and cycle past Cregmore Golf Club and continue up this road towards Lackagh. At the end of the road, we turn left to bring us into Claregalway where we stop for coffee at 'Treat Café', having cycled around 25km. Don't forget to bring some money for coffee and cake.

After the coffee break, we cycle back from Claregalway to Oranmore and onto Clarinbridge where we finish our spin at Kilcornan for a total distance of about 42km.

About

I've been cycling for over 20 years both individually and as part of a cycling club. I've really enjoyed cycling in a group, both the exercise and the social side. I'd like to help others in the locality to get out on their bikes and get that enjoyment as well. Nothing too strenuous and guaranteed to include some decent coffee stops along the way!
