Departing Comber Leisure Centre, we follow Bridge Street to the A21 bypass, turning left for approximately 300 yards along the main Killinchy Road before taking a left for the Ballydrain Road. We will follow this gentle road for about one mile before turning up the Ballygraffan Road, which is a short sharp climb. Crossing the main Killinchy Road, we will follow the Tullynagee Road, which features a moderate drag for about half a mile, then on to the undulating Ballykiegle Road and on to Killyleagh via Ballygowan and Darragh Cross where we will stop for a well deserved coffee.
After refreshments, we will take the Strangford Lough coast road home via the Ballydorn Road, Tullynakill Road, Quarry Road and into Lisbane. From here, we will make our way to the Ballybunden Road, heading back to Comber Leisure Centre via the New Line Road, Bog Road, Loughview Road and Old Ballygowan Road.
Overall, this is a nice undulating route with a few short climbs thrown in. No-one will be left behind and with plenty of water stops scheduled, this route will be an enjoyable cycle! Please check this page before setting off for the start location in case of any changes.

I'm an enthusiastic leisure cyclist, being a member of my local club in Killinchy. Earlier in 2019, I completed a charity cycle for Marie Curie from Malin Head to Mizen Head. Cycling is how I get my exercise, helping me control my weight, all the while enjoying good fun and camaraderie with my friends. I'm keen to help people in my local area, who perhaps presently cycle alone or in small groups, build their confidence so they can enjoy the experience that cycling in a larger group can bring.
A nice dry but windy morning for a cycle ride
