We meet in Meadows and Byrne car park on the Rosslare Road. Today’s ride is mostly on well surfaced flat country roads. The last 5km from Killinick back to the car park is on the main N25 which has a wide hard shoulder all the way.
Leaving the car park, we take a right and cycle to the little roundabout on the main road where we turn left, heading towards town. After 1km Kerlogue Nursing Home is on our left and we will turn left here, cycling for 6km to Murrintown Village along the Wexford Cycle Hub. We go through Murrintown and continue for 8km until we reach Baldwinstown, where we can have a short break if necessary.
At the cross in Baldwinstown, we go left and after 2km we reach Bridgetown. Here we take a right, crossing the bridge over the railway line and then almost immediately we turn left. We continue straight for 4km until we reach the junction at Tenacre where we stop. We then go left and immediately right, continuing on the R736 as far as Twelveacre Crossroads.
At the cross, we stop and we then go left along the Wexford Cycle Hub again, for 4km as far as Killinick where we’ll take our coffee break in 'Karoo Coffee Shop' or in the filling station.
After the break, we join the N25 and cycle the final 5km along the main road up to the roundabout just after Roche's filling station.
This is a busy roundabout so we need to take extra care. On this roundabout, we must take the right hand lane to go straight. So, use hand signals and try to take note of the traffic both behind and on the roundabout. After a couple hundred metres, we reach the little roundabout at Meadows and Byrne where we go left and then go left again back into the car park.

I live in Castlebridge in Co. Wexford and I am a keen leisure cyclist. I try to get out as often as possible and enjoy cycling mostly within my own locality. I would love to see more people out on their bikes, taking advantage of all the health and social benefits that cycling has to offer.
Glorious sunshine today for a great spin through Bridgetown and back to Killinick for very welcome flapjacks and coffee in Karoo Coffee Shop.
