The Edenderry/Kinnegad spin starts from opposite the 'Harbour House' bar at the canal in Edenderry. We travel out the R401 on the Carrick Road towards Kinnegad, cycling slowly up the hill, passing the ruins of Carrick Castle, which is in County Kildare. Further along, we will pass Rahan Woods and enter County Meath when we cross the bridge over the Boyne River. We follow the main road and turn right at the roundabout over the M4. We will then take the left turn at the next two roundabouts where we will enter County Westmeath, following the signs for our coffee stop at the Kinnegad Plaza. On leaving the Kinnegad Plaza, we will turn left and follow the R418, turning left at the next two roundabouts. This will bring us out of County Westmeath on the L8021 and past Castlejordan into County Meath. We will then cycle on the R441 back to Edenderry via Jonestown Cross and Monasteroris to finish up back at the canal where we started, having cycled through four counties!

A good turn out for today's AXA Community Bike Ride, as the weather was wet and windy. Thank you to all who participated and hopefully see you all again in early March!
