The route is a mostly flat loop from Draperstown via Tobermore, which includes the Moybeg and Weddell Bridge Roads which cross the Moyola River twice.
We will turn left to leave the car park at Workspace in Draperstown and take the third left onto the High Street to take us onto the B40 Desertmartin Road. After 3.5km, we turn left onto Kilcronaghan Road and then onto Wood Road where we enjoy the beautiful views of The Sperrins as we cycle to Tobermore. At the church on the outskirts of the town, we turn left onto the B41 towards Draperstown and we turn right onto Moybeg Road after 0.5km. We continue on Moybeg Road to the Forgetown Road and turn right to cross the Moyola River for the first time. After approximately 0.5km, we turn left and cycle along Carnamoney Lane to the Weddell Bridge Road. We cross the Moyola River for a second time before rejoining the B41 to complete our loop back to Draperstown.
We will have an optional coffee stop at the end in the village of Draperstown.

I am an enthusiastic leisure cyclist and I’ve been a member of Carn Wheelers Cycling Club since 2016. I enjoy group cycling because it’s good fun and builds great friendships that motivate me to cycle at times when the weather isn’t too inviting or when the route is hilly. I am keen to encourage and support more people in my community to cycle for fitness and health benefits.
A lovely cycle this morning despite the rain. It was lovely to meet some new members. The route took us on some lovely country roads traversing the Moyola river. The rain and cloud deprived us of the scenery of the mountains but didn't dampen our spirits. We ended our cycle at The Market Inn in Draperstown at a MacMillan Coffee Morning where we got a warm welcome and lots of tea/coffee, cake and conversations.
