On leaving the community centre, we cross the N15 and head towards Kinlough and we take the first right with care as its on a bend. We travel on this road for 4km which has a slight incline all the way to the end (nothing too difficult). At the end of this road, we turn right and travel for 6km. At the crossroads, we stop and then turn left and travel along this road for 1km before we turn right at another crossroads. Continuing straight on, pausing at another set of crossroads, we travel towards Cliffoney, County Sligo (we are now at the halfway mark, 15km).
Crossing the N15 in Cliffoney, we have a descent for 0.75km with a right hand bend at the bottom. Care is needed here as the bicycle will pick up speed very fast.
After about 2km, we come to the end of the road and stop, giving way to traffic before turning left and heading to Mullaghmore. After 1km, we take a slight left and cycle around Mullaghmore Head, taking in the wonderful views of Donegal Bay and Sliabh Liag before arriving in the village for a coffee break (12km to home).
On leaving the village, we travel for approximately 2km and take the first left. We travel another 3km, bringing us back onto the N15 (5km to go). We then turn left and after 2km we take another left and cycle along the old coast road for 3km before arriving back at the community centre.
Don't forget to bring money for a coffee!
