On Sunday, we travel to Meelick Weir via Eyrecourt. We cross the Shannon and head for Lusmagh Church, where we take a right onto the Borrisokane Road. We branch off at the turn for Rathcabbin and take a right at the church when we get to the village. This will bring us across Portland Hill with views of the Shannon on the right and the Lake to our left as we arrive into Portumna. We will be stopping for coffee at a fundraiser organised by Portumna Cycling Club in aid of Joe Mullen who is one of their members undergoing rehabilitation after an accident. We then have a short spin down the main road to Laurencetown.
