Waterford Greenway 88 km

For anyone who has not cycled on the Waterford Greenway this is your opportunity. The Greenway has been hailed as one of the most beautiful rides in the country. The route follows the River Suir, with the Comeragh Mts. On one side and the sea on the other and there are plenty of stopping points along the way to take photos and enjoy the scenery.

We meet in the Waterford Greenway SETU West Campus Car Park.

Section 1: Car Park to Killoteran (5.5 km)

Section 2: Killoteran to Killmeaden (3 km)

Section 3: Kilmeaden to Kilmacthomas (13.5 km)

We will take a break in the Coach House Coffee Shop at the Old Workhouse in Kilmacthomas.

Section 4: Kilmacthomas to Durrow (Shanacool) (12 km)

Section 5: Durrow to Clonea Road (Scartore) (6 km)

Section 6: Clonea Road (Scartore) to Dungarvan (4 km)

We will have lunch in Dungarvan and then cycle back to Waterford to the Car Park, with plenty of opportunities again for breaks along the way.

About

I live in Castlebridge in Co. Wexford and I am a keen leisure cyclist. I try to get out as often as possible and enjoy cycling mostly within my own locality. I would love to see more people out on their bikes, taking advantage of all the health and social benefits that cycling has to offer.
